Joanne has worked in senior positions in finance, sales and operations across a variety of different industries. Whilst this gives real depth to her experience, her ethos is always the same; make everything as crystal clear, refreshingly simple and value added as possible. Joanne is a straight-talking Lancashire lass who thrives on helping others succeed.
Joanne operated for over 10 years as Managing Director of a vehicle conversion business. The remit was simple. To turn a loss-making entity to profit. The reality was tough. The imposter syndrome was immense. But the lessons learned were gold dust. And the biggest lesson was that it is all about the people and a vision. Without good, motivated people knowing what they are trying to achieve, a business is nothing. With the right team, all working towards a clearly defined strategy, any business can be unstoppable.
Joanne also spent 10 years in sales management completing her sales training on the prestigious IBM Sales School. There was never any hard sell though. Joanne’s success came from building trusted, honest relationships with her clients and taking the time to listen and understand what they were really looking for, a skill that she has taken forward throughout her career.
Joanne is a qualified chartered accountant and so some may say a bit of a numbers geek, but to her the real magic comes in making the numbers tell a story. Every business creates numbers and deciphering the chapters that have already been written can be hugely powerful in helping business leaders unlock their potential and drive future growth towards a best-seller; after all, doesn’t everyone want to avoid a horror, experience more adventure, and possibly have the odd comedy along the way!

Be Brave – It’s like the old Dr Pepper tag line ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’ sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith. I’m talking more calculated leaps of faith (I am an accountant after all!) but with each new experience, the more I know it to be true that following that gut feeling, pushing the boundaries, doing things that not everyone may approve of … that’s what brings satisfaction. That’s what makes the heart sing. And ultimately that’s what delivers success.
